Bubble Paper-Add washable liquid paint to bubble solution to make a bright color. Blow bubbles onto white paper and the you will have colored bubbles. From

Day 1 of The Itty-Bitty Bookworm Lesson- We talked alot about bubbles, the letter B, and circles. We have not gotten our book Clifford Counts Bubbles in yet...it has been so hard to find but we have used some other bubble books such as: Pop! A Book About Bubbles by Kimberly Brubaker and Bubbles, Bubbles by Kathi Appelt.

What a rare shot!!!
Ok, I need to explain with this photo! About every 2-3 months I get an itch to move furniture around. Apparently Caden watches me as I move things. So one day he decided that he would move things too. On this particular day Caden was very fussy because he was sick...so we did not care at all that he was moving all this stuff around in his playroom. We had a tent and a tunnel set up and he moved everything inside his tent and tunnel. lol
My husband bought Adobe Lightroom2 and he has done some really neat things to some of our photos. Just wanted to share.

Hannah was so excited to get her Birthday presents from her Maw-Maw V and Aunt Paula. It was so sweet of them to let me pick out the toys online and have them mailed to the door. Here are some of the other toys that I wasn't able to get a picture of her playing with them because she has been sick this weekend.

Not much has gone on this week with Tot School, but we are looking forward to a new week and will be discussing Bubbles!

Tara for sharing the ideas about the Sensory Tubs. I have the same issues as I am sure every Mom has when we are cooking dinner...the kids all of the sudden don't want to play with their toys...you don't want to resort to turning on the TV and they want to be in the kitchen and tend to be very fussy. So today I tried making a Sensory Tub with my son Caden. He practiced cutting and by the way he loved cutting straws. Then when it was time for dinner I put the wagon of straws out with measuring cups and a muffin pan so they could transfer the straws from one thing to the next. Ya, they were occupied for at least 30 minutes for me to put dinner in the oven. It was kind of a mess to clean up but I didn't care, as long as I could get dinner ready. Next time I may put something underneath them when they play for an easier clean up. Thanks again Tara
Sorry I haven't posted much this week! It has been a crazy one. Both of the kids have been sick and also my computer crashed. So next week we should be back on track!:)
Today I had Hannah Dot paint for the first time. She did it for about 1 minute and she wanted to play with the top of the dot paint lid. We will try again!
Of course, they have to do the same thing at the same time! In the back ground Hannah is screaming because she can not get the stroller to go in the right direction! lol
Hannah is 13 1/2 months old- Her obsession right now is pushing around anything that has wheels. It is so hilarious because she gets so frustrated when the stroller (for example) won't go the right direction but she continues to go back to it until she figures it out.

Caden's is 30 months old-His obsession is cutting. He is doing so good with it. I let him try and cut a couple of months ago but he could not figure out how to make the scissors move with just one hand. Now he's totally got it down!

Painting a Soccer Ball- I cut pentagons and hexagons out of sponges. I made a circle on construction paper and Caden dipped his sponges in white or black paint and placed the sponges on his circle to make a soccer ball.
Caden is now 30 months old and doing great with his potty training. He now goes to the potty in public places and not just at home. He maybe has an accident 1 time every 2-3 days.
The only problem we are having is bowel movements. We had a few bowel movements in the potty a couple of weeks ago and now he won't do it at all. So we are just going to be patient with him and give him some time and then we will focus on bowel training when he feels ready. So right now I will not pressure him because I know if I do he will totally resent it...that is the way Caden is. I will keep you posted on the progress.
For all you people out there that do not back up your computer....just warning you DO IT! My computer's hardrive crashed yesterday and I lost all of my documents. Thank God we got a new computer a couple of weeks ago and my husband transfered all of our pictures off the old computer and put them on the new one and we did not lose a single picture. How sad would that be to lose pictures of your kiddoes when they were itty bitty!:(((((
I found this fruit snack in the organic section at my Kroger store. It has 9 grams of sugar, organic, and has no gluten. The best part is Caden loved it!!!!! Doesn't that just make a mom so happy:) Enjoy! Let me know how your kids like it!
Caden is 30 months
Caden wanted to play with his magnetic letters so I instantly used this as a learning activity. I ran to get Caden's book Red Rubber Ball. I pulled out the letters ball and had him match the letters to the word ball on his book...just to see if he could put them in the correct order on his own. He almost got it!!! We had fun though!
I had both of the kids put pom-poms on the
letter B. Both kids loved it and they got to work together!
Sequencing- I printed out the picture story cards from the story Red Rubber Ball. We then flipped through the book and put the story cards order. Caden was so excited when we got to the end of the book and saw the dog!
