Tot School and Preschool Corner- Flower Baskets

Hannah is currently 23 months old and Caden is currently 3 years and 5 months old.

I put Tot School and Preschool Corner all in one post this week.  I am finding it too difficult to put them in separate post.  Hannah is in Tot School and Caden is in Preschool Corner.

The color of the week is yellow.  I did not put them in yellow on purpose.  When we started painting our suns yellow I noticed both kids were in yellow.  Crazy huh!

Hannah played with our alphabet puzzle.
Caden drew his first little person.  He was drawing circles so I said, "add two eyes, nose and a mouth."  He did, and then I said, "he needs arms and legs" and that is what he drew all by himself.  Toooooo cute!!!
Hannah loves to feed Kelso.  So last week she decided to feed him without our help.
I guess she felt like he was really hungry!! :)
We made flower baskets.  I cut a paper plate in half and let the kids decorate them with foam flower stickers.  Then I stapled the plates together so it made a little pocket.  Then I punched two holes on the side of the plates and tied a piece of ribbon for the strap.  After we were done we went on a walk to put flowers in our flower basket.
Then we asked out neighbor is we could pick some of her flowers.  Caden said "we have to ask first."  So she was kind enough to take us in her backyard and the kids got to put a whole bunch of flowers in their basket.

Preschool Corner- Letter A

Caden was trying to be the teacher during circle time.
Letter A was the Letter of the Week last week.  For Caden I started using the Letter of the Week from Confessions of a Homeschooler.   We are having a wonderful time using her curriculum.
Letter A ant puzzle
Acting Silly
Our shape of the week is an oval so I had them walk along a line and an oval.  Then Caden had to hold a ball above his head and walk on the line.

Tot School-Random Week

Hannah is currently 22 1/2 months old
She poured with Noah's Ark Beads.Noah's Ark Novelty Beads.
Used tongs (got them from Hobby Lobby) to transfer big pom poms.
Hannah also played with Caden's Lighting McQueen Race Track (great hand-eye coordination).
Hannah played with her LeapFrog magnet letters inside her workbox.  Silly Girl!
The Melissa and Dough animal magnets are great for learning animals and their sounds.  Hannah loves them.

We had a great week even though we had no theme.  We just kind of played around and explored with different things.

Tot School- Thumper's Fluffy Tail

Hannah is currently 22 months old
Book of the Week- Thumper's Fluffy Tail
We played with our Color and Texture puzzle.  I showed Hannah the fluffy bunny and she put it together.
Bunny Ears (The Itty-Bitty Bookworm)- I cut out bunny ears and had the kids color them and then glue cotton balls on the ears.  Once they dried I used a sentence strip to staple the ears on for their hat.
Little Bunny Foo Foo Song- (From You Tube)
Bunny Tails (The Itty-Bitty Bookworm)- Used the printout from The Itty-Bitty Bookworm and we used a clothespin and cotton ball as a paint brush to paint the bunny.
Bunny Tails (The Itty-Bitty Bookworm)- Hannah had to match the correct color bunny tail with the correct colored bunny.
Oval Butterflies- (The Itty-Bitty Bookworm)- Our shape of the month is the oval so we made oval butterflies.
Melissa and Doug Sequencing Set- We do not use the patterns on the bead sequencing, she just puts the beads on the rod for hand eye coordination.
