Miss Polly Has a Dolly Mommy School Presentation- This is a slide show that I create for each unit we study. This week our book was Miss Polly Has a Dolly. Our lesson mainly come from The Itty-Bitty Bookworm. I do add a few other activities to go along with it. Letter of the Week:
- Letter V. I used the letter V activity sheet from Abeka. I had Caden circle the first letter of each of the letter v words.
- Sorry the letter V clip art activity is sideways.

Number of the Week-
- Number 17
- I used the worksheet from here. We used dot stickers
and counted while we put them on the purple dots.
- I wrote Caden's name on the top of his papers and had him trace it.
Bird Nest Cookies- This came from The Itty-Bitty Bookworm. I got a can of Chow Mein Noodles, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and jelly beans. I melted the chocolate, then stir in the noodles, place a jelly bean on top and then place in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
Caden thought this picture of him was the best. He kept wanting to look at it over and over. Boys are so silly!!!!:)))))) Always a laugh!!!
Sorting Jelly Beans by Color

I'm surprised that there were jelly beans to sort! :) Ours would have mysteriously disappeared before being sorted by color. :)
We make "cereal" necklaces for those days when I need to clean and need to "buy time" before I hear one of the girls ask for snack. They LOVE making them, but the eating them is their favorite part! I love that the crumbs are far less of a nusience when they are eating "off the string" as opposed to dry cereal in a bowl!
I can totally relate to the dog following the kids around the house when food is involved. =)
This picture of Caden with his nest in the mouse is too funny. I am impressed with how prepared you are for your school days.
