Creation Day 1 and 2

I got these creation day puzzles from here.

Sensory Tub- Ice cubes

I got these star ice cubes from the Target $ section and put them in the freezer. Once they were frozen I put them in the Sensory Tub and they sorted them in ice cube trays.

Indivual activites

This is what he cut!
I wanted to see if Caden could cut on the lines. He has been cutting for about 2 months...just any paper I give to him. So I gave him this project to cut on the lines and WOW! He did great!
Hannah putting stickers on an index card.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom-The Letter L

The Letter L for Lamb- I printed the lamb blackline from The Itty-bitty bookworm. Caden glued cotton balls on the lamb.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom- The Letter L

The Letter L- For this lesson we were supposed to use green and brown butcher paper to make a coconut tree. Hang the tree on the wall and put all the letters on the tree. Instead we used our own tree! lol

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom- The Letter K

The Letter K- K is for Kangaroo. I printed out the Kangaroo blackline from the Itty-Bitty Bookworm and the kids painted the kangaroos brown.

Finally Organized!

Reading area

This is were I have the pocket chart and we discuss vocabulary words and other things. We move the lego table when necessary (Grandpa Schindler made it, he's so awesome)!

Map we got from Top Secret Adventures (Highlight Magazine)

Bigger view of playroom.

In the study is were most of Mommy School happens. Here is the table Caden's Mee-Maw got at a garage sale and said we could use it!!!! How perfect! I also have the easel in there too.

I got this shelf at Ikea and labeled all of our Mommy School supplies.
Bottom two shelf's are for the kids to get into.

This is the playroom shelf that Daddy made. This is were we keep all the kids toys.

I finally got everything organized for our Mommy School!!!! Of course I will probably move things around here and there but for the most part I have got all the necessities. I have our play room separate from our school room, above I will tell you what each picture is.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom- The Letter K

Caden is 30 1/2 months old

Caden flying his kite.

The Letter K- For this lesson we were to gather wallpaper samples, I just used scrapbook paper. Cut diamond shapes from the paper. Next, cut each diamond (kite) in half. Set out all of the pieces. Then match the pieces to create "kites". Tape the 2 sides together, then tape yarn on the back of the kite.

Creation Days 1 and 2

Cleaning up his mess.

Creation Day 2- On the second day God creates sky. I printed off the number 2 from ABC Jesus Loves Me, then I drew clouds on the paper and had him paint the clouds white. We have done this lesson before but I feel like Caden didn't remember it.
Creation Day 1- On the first day God creates light. Again I got the number 1 from ABC Jesus Loves Me website and had Caden paint the number one yellow with a cotton ball.

The book we are using is called The Children's Illustrated Bible

Letter C Lapbook

I could not believe it! Caden traced this letter C all by himself. I had walked away for a second and came back and found him tracing the letter c!!!! Here is the letter C worksheet.

This is the Letter C mini-book. Page 1 and Page 2

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Mice

Caden is 30 1/2 months old

Mice- In the story it talks about mice, so we printed out the mice blackline and colored it with marker. I did this lesson a little different. We were suppose to use fingerpaint.

Sensory Tub-Cereal

Sensory Tub- I tried another sensory tub, this time I used cereal that the kids haven't been eating. It was pretty funny because they ended up eating it. It was ok because it wasn't old, it just wasn't their choice for the morning. After they got full they continued pouring and scooping.!")

Hannah transferring with a strainer

I was so proud of Hannah this morning! While I was doing Mommy School with Caden Hannah was transferring pom poms from one container to the next with a strainer.

Clifford Counts Bubbles- The Big, Red Dog

Oh, that piece on the far right...sticking off the page is Cliffords "Big Tail"!!!!

The Big, Red Dog- This one came out funny! The lesson was to cut red construction paper into small pieces. Print out the clifford blackline and glue red pieces on the dog. Let me explain a little about Caden first...It cracks me up because Caden always says "I want a BIG snack Mommy", I want a BIG ice cream Mommy" or "I want LOTS"! So needless to say Caden wants everything BIG, so when he cut his construction paper I guess that is the smallest he goes in his mind!

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Butterflies

Butterflies- I had to do this lesson a little different...the lesson said to print out the butterfly backline, get a dried up maker, fill a bowl with a little bit of water. Then dip the marker in the water and use them to paint the butterfly. What a great idea!!!! Well go figure, I did not have a dried up marker. So we used glitter! When one of our markers get dried up I will defiantly have to try that lesson.

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Dogs and Bones

Dogs and bones- I print and cut out the dog and bone blacklines from The Itty-Bitty Bookworm (that is were I get all of my cut outs unless it is sited otherwise). We played a color matching game with the bones. After he matched them Caden wanted to glue them on the dog.

Clifford Count's Bubbles- Honeybee

Honeybee- In the story it talks about a bumblebee... for the lesson instructions I was to cut out 1 oval, 1 circle, and wings out of construction paper. I decided to let Caden do this activity on his own with a glue stick. He also made his own lines on the bumble bee with a marker. I helped put the glue on for the eyes and antennas.

My Helment Cutie Pie!

Hannah is 6 days away from being 14 months old

Hannah sleeping! Can you believe it was night time in this picture? We got a new flash for the camera and boy is it bright!

Hannah's wearing Caden's helment! Sorry about the boobie action, I just coudn't pass up such a cute picture!:)

Safety Lesson

Here I printed off the color flash cards from the site below. We matched the colors with the words. Then talked about what was the first letter of each word.
After I was done with the lesson Caden decided he wanted to draw too. Up at the top he tried to draw a helment. (Soo cute!!!)

Caden did really well with this lesson...I printed these pictures off the site below also. We talked about each picture (bike, matches, car, and swimming pool). I asked Caden what would we need to do to keep safe in each situation. Next to each picture I drew a picture and wrote the words of what we would do to keep safe.

Safety Lesson- I just happened to find this preschool post and found some great lessons.
