Clifford Counts Bubbles- Mice

Caden is 30 1/2 months old

Mice- In the story it talks about mice, so we printed out the mice blackline and colored it with marker. I did this lesson a little different. We were suppose to use fingerpaint.

Sensory Tub-Cereal

Sensory Tub- I tried another sensory tub, this time I used cereal that the kids haven't been eating. It was pretty funny because they ended up eating it. It was ok because it wasn't old, it just wasn't their choice for the morning. After they got full they continued pouring and scooping.!")

Hannah transferring with a strainer

I was so proud of Hannah this morning! While I was doing Mommy School with Caden Hannah was transferring pom poms from one container to the next with a strainer.

Clifford Counts Bubbles- The Big, Red Dog

Oh, that piece on the far right...sticking off the page is Cliffords "Big Tail"!!!!

The Big, Red Dog- This one came out funny! The lesson was to cut red construction paper into small pieces. Print out the clifford blackline and glue red pieces on the dog. Let me explain a little about Caden first...It cracks me up because Caden always says "I want a BIG snack Mommy", I want a BIG ice cream Mommy" or "I want LOTS"! So needless to say Caden wants everything BIG, so when he cut his construction paper I guess that is the smallest he goes in his mind!

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Butterflies

Butterflies- I had to do this lesson a little different...the lesson said to print out the butterfly backline, get a dried up maker, fill a bowl with a little bit of water. Then dip the marker in the water and use them to paint the butterfly. What a great idea!!!! Well go figure, I did not have a dried up marker. So we used glitter! When one of our markers get dried up I will defiantly have to try that lesson.

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Dogs and Bones

Dogs and bones- I print and cut out the dog and bone blacklines from The Itty-Bitty Bookworm (that is were I get all of my cut outs unless it is sited otherwise). We played a color matching game with the bones. After he matched them Caden wanted to glue them on the dog.

Clifford Count's Bubbles- Honeybee

Honeybee- In the story it talks about a bumblebee... for the lesson instructions I was to cut out 1 oval, 1 circle, and wings out of construction paper. I decided to let Caden do this activity on his own with a glue stick. He also made his own lines on the bumble bee with a marker. I helped put the glue on for the eyes and antennas.

My Helment Cutie Pie!

Hannah is 6 days away from being 14 months old

Hannah sleeping! Can you believe it was night time in this picture? We got a new flash for the camera and boy is it bright!

Hannah's wearing Caden's helment! Sorry about the boobie action, I just coudn't pass up such a cute picture!:)

Safety Lesson

Here I printed off the color flash cards from the site below. We matched the colors with the words. Then talked about what was the first letter of each word.
After I was done with the lesson Caden decided he wanted to draw too. Up at the top he tried to draw a helment. (Soo cute!!!)

Caden did really well with this lesson...I printed these pictures off the site below also. We talked about each picture (bike, matches, car, and swimming pool). I asked Caden what would we need to do to keep safe in each situation. Next to each picture I drew a picture and wrote the words of what we would do to keep safe.

Safety Lesson- I just happened to find this preschool post and found some great lessons.

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Bunnies

Bunnies- In the story there is a Bunny, so we talked about the bunny then painted one. I know the bunny isn't brown in the story but Caden didn't notice. lol (ran out of brown construction paper to paint bunny white).

Clifford Count's Bubbles- Giant bubbles and Bubble wands

Giant Bubbles- We didn't get to make giant bubbles this week as planned in the lesson, so we just made do with mini-giant bubbles. The lesson was to make a special bubble solution and put it in a baby pool. Have the child stand in the baby pool inside of a hula hoop and lift the hula hoop up and then the child would be standing inside the bubble. Sounds like a lot of fun but for one I never was able to get a hula hoop and I just could not do that with Hannah outside with us. Maybe next year!

Bubble wands- We did make bubble wands today, but I was not able to take a picture of them. For the lesson we bent and formed pipe cleaners into bubble wands. Lots of fun!

B is for Bear and Counting to 3

Caden is 30 months

I don't remember where I got this from...sorry. Since we are talking about the number 3 I had them count out 3 marshmallows and then 3 toothpicks and showed them that they can stick the toothpicks inside the marshmallows and build something. They didn't build for long...they wanted to eat the marshmallows. lol

Train Puff Cloud Counting- I got this awesome idea from Teaching My Little Bookworm.
Here is the print off.

B is for Bear- Caden's picture

Zoe's bear

Zoe's number 3

Caden's number 3. I had them paint their number 3 and then add stickers that counted to 3.

Hannah coloring her bear.

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Sponge Stamping

Zoe making her sponge stamping.

Hannah had to try too!

Caden's sponge stamping.

With this activity we talked about the color and shape bubbles.

Clifford Counts Bubbles-Kitty Cats

Zoe, Caden's cousin wasn't too happy in this picture. Her whiskers kept falling off when she was holding up her cat to take the picture. :(

Caden's Kitty Cat. I guess I forgot to tell both of the kids to smile...they look sad. :( Then again they had snack right after they made their cat.

Bead Sorting

This is the way Hannha was bead sorting! lol

Caden did great but he was only interested in doing it 1 time. He said "Clean up" after he was done sorting. lol

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Popping Bubbles

My cutie!

Very focused!

Great hand-eye coordination!

Got these bubbles at the Target $ section! :) We also poured used the colored bubbles we made that earlier that day.

Love our High Five Magazine

Caden loves his High Five magazine we get in the mail each month. My best friend Elsie bought a subscription for Caden's birthday. Each month it has a fun recipe you can do with the kids, this month it was Maple-Cinnamon French Toast, the family loved it so much we had it two weekends in a row! Sorry I don't have a picture of it, everybody ate it up so fast!:)

Here is the Maple-cCnnamon French Toast Recipe
3 eggs
1 tablespoon of milk
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla

Mix the above ingredients with a whisk. Then put a slice of bread in the mixture. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil (or use cooking spray) in a large skillet over med. heat. Cook the bread for 1 1/2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Then you have to add powdered sugar of course!:))

Zoe's Bumblebee

Caden's Bumblebee

Footprint Bumblebee- Our cousin Zoe stayed with us over night because her Mommy (my sister had her beautiful baby girl, I will post pictures) so she joined us learning about the letter B. We also sang the Bumblebee song.

Clifford Counts Bubbles- Bubble Wrap Painting

Day 3 Bubble Wrap Painting- I did this activity a little different than the directions. I cut shapes out of bubble wrap and had the kids paint their shape. Then they turned over their shape and pressed the paint side down on the paper and saw the bubbles on the paper.
